We were celebrating my girlfriends graduation from college, so we decided to go to Vegas and get away for a couple days. When we got there I was surprised by the amount of people that were there vacationing. The lobby of our hotel was filled with 8 check-in lines, ten guest deep each. I asked the front desk if these guest were checking in or out ( not that it mattered)? You see the reason I say it doesn't matter is because, regardless it was good news. It just went to show, that even though our economy is currently down people aren't going to stop enjoying life. 

I think you have a decision. You are either part of the recession or you are going to tell your self that you are not going to take part in it. What I mean by this is, you can sit and wait for things to get better or you can go out there and get it yourself. All of those people in Vegas said " forget the recession I am going to go and enjoy my life". The thing I realized was, you don't have to spend a ton of money to have a good time. We lounged by the pool most of the time, saw free attractions that Vegas has on the strip, and had a few drinks on our tight budget. ( Tip if you sit at the penny slots and play with 5 dollars, you can get about 8 to 10 drinks for the price of tipping ). If you plan together to only spend a certain amount, then it makes it easier to stick to you budget.

This post doesn't have much to do with RVing but, what it does have to do with is, you can go camping, you can go on vacation, you can travel and still be on a tight budget. Travel destinations are doing what ever it takes to get you in the door. In turn this means great deals, free shows, free nights, and free dinning. You just have to be looking for it. So don't forget the things and people that mean the most to you because life can slip by you and the next thing you'll know is your wishing you spent more time with them. We all get caught up in working to pay the bills and providing for our family but, whats the point in working to provide for them if you never spend any time with them?

Go spend time with your family and friends!     Not a ton of money!
